WHAT TO WATCH DAY 12

It’s hard to believe it’s the last day of competition at the Samoa 2019 XVI Pacific Games. Whatever sport you choose to watch today, you will hear the resounding notes of various national anthems as the final medals are awarded.

Six sports wind up the competition  - Athletics, Basketball 3 x 3, Football, Touch, Triathlon and Volleyball at a range of VENUES around Apia followed by the closing ceremony of this 2019 Samoa Pacific Games at Apia Park Stadium. Time to celebrate the last two weeks and look forward to 2023 in the Solomon Islands.
SAT$50 tickets are on sale in a tent opposite ANZ Bank from 8am to 12pm, today.


It's the last chance to see elite athletes in action on the final day of Athletics competition. 
Today the women's and mens half marathon will be decided followed by the medal ceremonies.
It’s an early start at 6.30am and will all be over by 8.30am.

It’s the first medal ceremony for the Basketball 3 x 3. After debuting at the Samoa 2019 XVI Pacific Games on Thursday, the teams take to the court for the last time today.  
The action starts at 10am and wraps up at 2pm at Gym 2 at Faleata.
Entry is SAT$5.00 at the venue.

Football is back for the final time after a rest day, so it’s do or die today.
competition kicks off at the earlier time of 9am and will be all over by 3pm after the podium placings have been decided. 
All the action is at the JS Blatter Football Complex and entry is SAT$5.00.

It is the last opportunity to experience in the excitement of Touch at Marist St Joseph’s Stadium and its medal day.
Games will start at 10.20am and continue until 1.00pm.
Be early as touch has been an extremely popular spectator sport at the games. 
Entry is SAT$5.00 at St Joseph's.

Triathlon is scheduled for today at Sogi Recreational Park close to downtown Apia.
It's one of the toughest sports on the international calendar - swim, bike, run.
A total of nine countries will be competing in the Triathlon this year: American Samoa, Fiji, Guam, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tahiti and Tonga. The action starts at 6am and finishes at 1pm and is free to watch.

It’s the last serve of Volleyball today with the Men's medals being decided.
This has attracted big crowds and today will be no different.
Each game is intense as competitors fight for every point.  All the action is at the starts at the earlier time of 9am and will finish at 12 midday.
Entry is SAT$5.00 at the National University of Samoa Gym.
