Established in March 2018 by the Pacific Games Office Act, the Office of the Pacific Games is a Government entity with the responsibility of coordinating the XVI Pacific Games.
The Pacific Games Act 2018 also establishes two committees - the Executive and Organising Committees, consisting of Government Ministers and Chief Executive Officers.

We are honest, open, ethical and fair.
We do what we say we will do and always follow through. We stand up for what we believe in and take responsibility when we make mistakes. We put our values ahead of short term results, we tell the whole truth and are forthright.
We take personal accountability for our actions and results.
We focus on finding solutions and involve others in decisions and plans that affect them. We actively engage in discussions and commit to decisions once they are made. We keep promises and commitments made to others. We personally commit to the success and well-being of teammates.
We love success.
We achieve results and celebrate when we do. We work with others as a team to accomplish results and win. We have a positive “can do” attitude and drive to get the job done. We make people feel valued and appreciated.
We have the humility and hunger to learn.
We value openness and curiosity to learn from anyone, anywhere. We are open to personal change and continuous improvement. We learn from our mistakes and successes in equal measure.
We are passionate about sport in Samoa.
We promote a positive, energizing, optimistic and fun environment. We promote and implement creative and innovative ideas and solutions. We value and fiercely protect our reputation.
We follow the Pacific Games Council charter established in 1962 before the first Games in Fiji in 1963.
The modern version of the Pacific Games Council Charter was the culmination of a large amount of work conducted by the Council's Charter Review Committee. It spent three years from the conclusion of the 2003 South Pacific Games in Suva through until the Council's General Assembly of 14 May 2006, reviewing, modernising and updating the Charter from its original 1962 format.
The current Charter, which was adopted at the Council's 2006 General Assembly in Apia, is also commonly referred to as the Apia Charter.
