Betham Brothers Enterprises joins as a Gold Sponsor

The Pacific Games Office is excited to announce and welcome on board Betham Brothers Enterprises (BBE) as a Gold Sponsor for the Samoa 2019 XVI Pacific Games.

The announcement was made by Falefata Hele Matatia, CEO of the Pacific Games Office at a brief signing ceremony.

“We are very humbled by the kindness extended to us by Betham Brother Enterprises. Thank you for coming to our aid and for agreeing to support us in making the XVI Pacific Games a successful one,” said Falefata.

BBE gold

Betham Brothers Enterprises Management with Samoa 2019 CEO and Director of Branding and Communications at the MoU signing earlier today.

BBE has provided support through logistical support services, transportation of containers carrying equipment and aid for the Games from the wharf to storage, as well as providing storage space for containers at the BBE yard, Vaitele.  

Fuimaono Hugo Betham, General Manager of BBE spoke on behalf of management and staff to reaffirm their support for the Games.

“I would like to thank you and the Games Organising Committee for choosing to partner with BBE for the Pacific Games,” said Fuimaono.

“This is the first time our company has ever entered into a partnership like this with the Government as well as the Games Organising Committee, so we are very proud to be supporters of the Pacific Games.”

In addition, BBE has also provided support through the payment of port charges for the shipment of vehicles that arrived in Samoa, courtesy of the Government of the People’s Republic of China.  

Founded almost 30 years ago, BBE is the only family owned Shipping Agency in Samoa.  Their services include being agents for Cargo Vessels, Car Carriers, Cruise Liners, Fishing Vessels, Stevedoring, and Airfreight. 

The Pacific Games Office continues to receive support from the business community of Samoa in support of the XVI Pacific Games.  

In 17 days, Samoa will host XVI Pacific Games for the third time with 2007 being the most recent and 1983 being the first.
