Samoa starts strong in golf
Samoa has made a strong start to the golf competition, holding or sharing the lead in all four medal competitions.
Robert Faaainga holds a share of the lead in the men’s individual competition after opening with a three under par round of 69. Also on 69 is New Caledonia’s Guillaume Castagne.

In the women’s individual competition, Aileen Meredith and Olivia Tapu hold a share of the lead along with New Caledonia’s Ariane Klotz who recorded with a one under par rounds of 71.
In the team competition which counts the best three scores each day, Samoa and New Caledonia hold dominant positions with Samoa leading by four (in the men’s) and three (in the ladies) respectively.
Golf continues until Friday at Fagalii Golf Course and is free to watch.
