Slogan competition now open
With just over a year until the XVI Pacific Games, time is of the essence. This is certainly being reflected in the approach being taken by Games Committee.
Following fast on the heels of launching the new Games logo, the Committee has announced the start of the slogan competition.
Over the next two weeks, Samoan residents will have the opportunity to enter their slogan ideas to be used in next years Games. With $250.00 cash up for grabs and the opportunity to see their slogan idea around Samoa during the Games, the opportunity is sure to ignite a sense of excitement ahead of the Games.
“Live the Dream” was the slogan devised for the 2007 South Pacific Games in Samoa. As well as being etched at the bottom of the Games logo, the slogan was also incorporated into the theme song composed by Samoan musician Igelese Ete.
At the helm in overseeing the competition is Director of Brand and Communications, Klaus Stunzner. “We’re very excited to be launching this public campaign. It’s a great opportunity for our people to use their creativity and show their support for the upcoming Games.”
The competition starts today and closes 5pm, Saturday 30 June 2018. Terms and conditions can be found on the Samoa 2019 Facebook page.
