Sport Preview: Basketball

Guam and Fiji will be looking to defend their respective men’s and women’s basketball 5x5 titles over nine days of action at the Samoa 2019 XVI Pacific Games.

First bounce for the basketball 5x5 competition is at 12pm on Monday 8 July at Gym 2 Faleata. Entry is $5 and the event will be broadcast and live streamed.

Eight nations are competing in the men’s (Fiji, Guam, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tahiti and Tonga) while eight countries are vying off for silverware in the women’s (American Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Guam, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Tahiti).
