Taekwondo will feature in second week

2019 is the seventh time that Taekwondo has featured at the Pacific Games.

Taekwondo (태권도/跆拳道) originated in Korea and was introduced at the Olympics in Sydney in 2000. 

This year a total of 12 countries will be competing in both individual and team events at the Harvest Centre in Lotopa. 

Samoan Taekwondo athlete Kaino Thompson Fuataga competed at the London Olympics in 2012 and has represented his country in Rugby.
