Venue walkthrough with the National Health Services

This week, the Pacific Games Office and the Samoa National Health Service (NHS) moved forward with their work for Medical Services for the 2019 Pacific Games. NHS representative June Scanlan together with the Games Operations Manager, Jack Smith, walked through the Faleata venues identifying locations for medical services for the upcoming games.

The two parties discussed levels of services at each competition venue as well as a potential location for polyclinic. An updated sports schedule was also provided to assist with the Medical Committee’s planning. First responder medical services will be provided at all competition venues in July to assist teams, athletes and spectators with any medical needs on site.

The Samoa National Health Service and the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Pacific Games Office will provide staffing and equipment to all 20 venues during the games
