Win prizes with Greening of the Games

You do not have to be a competitive athlete at the Samoa 2019 Pacific games to win a prize.

People who show the best environmentally friendly attitude, supporting a beautiful and plastic free Samoa, can go into a draw to receive prizes.

These prizes include tote bags, tee-shirts, badges and wrist-band 4GB flash drives, with a few special prizes which include Bluetooth speakers, Kindle Readers, and wireless headphones!

If you want to participate, please post a photo or video of you taking a positive action supporting the greening of the Samoa 2019 Pacific Games. This can be selfies of you or your friends throwing rubbish into the right bins; your family carpooling on the way to watch an event; bringing your reusable water bottle or food container; or even planting trees!

One selfie or photo posted to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #PlayGreenPacific counts as one entry into the draw, with special prizes awarded to the best or most liked entry. So be creative in your entries and show us how you are keeping beautiful Samoa clean and plastic free!

Winners will be announced on the SPREP website and the SPREP Facebook page over the duration of the Pacific Games. The challenge starts Sunday 7th of July and ends on Saturday 20th of July.

The challenge is an activity of the “Beautiful Samoa, keep it clean and plastic free” campaign, which is part of the ‘Greening of the Samoa 2019 Pacific Games’ initiative.
